I was born in Utah, raised in Alaska, kicked cancer to the curb at the age of 18, started a family with my husband in Arizona, raised our kids in Missouri, and 19 years later we have 8 kids and many pets. We just sent our oldest daughter off to college and are in the beginning stages of our kids starting to leave the nest (and que the crazy amount of tears!)
I started doing photography when I was 16 and made it an official business in 2008. It started out in the basement of our home where we turned it into a studio and I did many newborn pictures there. It gradually evolved into family portraits and wedding photography and cinematography alongside with my husband. The coolest wedding we got to do was in 2012 in the Cayman Islands!
When the pandemic hit in 2020, I had my 8th and last baby that same year. As the world was slowing down for a time, some opportunities came to us that opened the door to doing corporate photography around the Kansas City area. We have had the very cool opportunity for a few years now to be the photographers for the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe, Nevada. It was by doing corporate photography that I discovered how much fun it is to do shoots for companies, and that has landed me where I am today…..photographing products and creating stop motion videos for commercial companies like yours. Which btw, is SO MUCH FUN! I feel like I can use even more of my artistic abilities by bringing products to life and capturing them in a fun and beautiful way.
This life has been a journey and a crazy whirl wind, but i’m so proud of how far I have come and so excited to see where this journey takes me! I look forward to the opportunities that await me, and am beyond excited to use my experience and creative skills to make some bad ass photo’s and stop motion videos for your brand’s needs!
